MCCLINTIC, MARTHA J. - 88, of Pulaski Township, passed away March 18, 2010 in Jackson, Michigan. She was born July 23, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan to Robert and Elizabeth (Fleming) Bowden. She was a graduate of Lansing Business College and worked a short time as a secretary. On August 9, 1941, Martha married Lambert G. McClintic who preceded her in death February 1, 2004. She and her husband resided in Tompkins Township for 50 years and she attended Pope and Griffith United Methodist Churches where her husband was Pastor for 43 years, she also enjoyed playing the piano and crocheting. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her oldest son, Lambert Jr. (Garry); and four brothers. She is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law, Terry. She lived with David and Terry over the last six years and will be greatly missed. She is also survived by granddaughters, Amy (David) Brown of New Bern, NC, Elizabeth (Ken) Munday of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Sarah (Jason) Thiede of Jackson, Michigan; sister, Agnes Cliffe of California; brother, Wallace Bowden of Clarksville; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; and two great-great-grandsons. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22 at Griffith United Methodist Church, 9537 S. Clinton Trail, Eaton Rapids with the Reverends Brent Bowden and David McClintic officiating. Burial will be at Pulaski Cemetery, Pulaski Township, MI.
