Conflict Transformation Skills for Congregations (CFTSfC)
God's people have options.
The people of God can choose healthy relationships over destructive ones.
People of the Creator can choose not to stay stuck in destructive encounters.
Since the publication of Dr. Edwin Friedman’s book Generation to Generation, many church leaders, including pastors, have become aware of Bowen family systems theory as a way of understanding congregational dynamics. Family systems theory identifies differentiation of self and anxiety as two key variables impacting human functioning. The seminar on CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION SKILLS FOR CONGREGATIONS (CTSfC) focuses on merging self assessment learnings with peacemaking skills during congregational conflict.
CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION SKILLS FOR CONGREGATIONS (CTSfC) is one of several designed to help you get a glimpse of how to choose constructive, healthy relationships. Workshops are available in multiple formats, such as an all-inclusive one-day seminar or as a series of shorter sessions. The seminar is comprised of a series of PowerPoint presentations. Exercises are integrated to facilitate application of theological reflection on the themes being presented.

CTSfC is a resource ministry sponsored by the West Michigan Conference as part of its focus on strengthening leaders, laity and clergy, in the faith community to be spiritually-based, skilled, visionary and connected.
