Conflict Transformation Skills for Congregations (CTSfC)
God's people have options.
Our options that we choose can lead us to a better relationship with each other and with God.
People can choose not to stay stuck in destructive encounters.
People can choose healthy relationships over destructive ones.
A one-day workshop is designed to help you get a glimpse of how to choose constructive, healthy relationships. Its called Conflict Transformation Skills for Congregations.
Since the publication of Dr. Edwin Friedman’s Generation to Generation, many pastors and other church leaders have become aware of Bowen family systems theory as a way of understanding congregational dynamics. Family systems theory identifies differentiation of self and anxiety as two key variables impacting human functioning. The seminar on Conflict Transformation Skills for Congregations (CTSfC) focuses on merging self assessment learnings with peacemaking skills during congregational conflict.
The seminar is comprised of a series of PowerPoint presentations. Exercises are integrated to facilitate application of theological reflection on the themes being presented.

Family systems ministry resources are provided by The West Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church as part of its focus on strengthening leaders, laity and clergy, in the faith community to be spiritually-based, skilled, visionary and connected. Partially funded by your Ministry Shares.
