2010 Fall District Events (Faith, Hope, Love in Action)
The theme for this year for all United Methodist Women's District Annual Celebration's is: "Faith, Hope, Love in Action"
As people of FAITH, we trust int eh promise of Christ to bring light into darkness and new life to brokenness and death.
As people of HOPE, we celebrate and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Together in the world we are partners in God's mission of healing and wholeness to all that all might have abundant life.
As people of GOD, we LOVE because God first loved us.
It is out of that love that we welcome all into community, unite what is divided, mend what is broken, call for peace where there is
war, make just what is unjust and offer hope where there is despair.
FAITH -- HOPE -- LOVE in ACTION: All God's people in mission together in the world!

September 15 -- Lansing District Annual UMW Celebration will be at the Eaton Rapids UMC (Directions)

Keynote Speaker is Nichea VerVeer Guy, Women's Division Director, General Board of Global MInistries
The In-gathering "buying" shingles for the roof at the United Methodist Community House (Grand Rapids) for $5. each. There will also be a used book exchange.
September 16 -- Albion District Annual UMW Celebration will be at the Birchwood UMC in Battle Creek (directions)

Keynote speaker is the Rev. Dr. Jennifer Jue, "Faces and Places of the Sudan" Plus the MPatapo African drum and dance group will be featured.
The in-gathering will be "buying" shingles for the roof at the United Methodist Community House (Grand Rapids) for $5. each.
September 18 -- Kalamazoo District UMW Annual Celebration will be at the Niles Wesley UMC, in Niles (directions)

Keynote speaker is Rev. Patricia Weatherwax.
The in-gathering will be "buying" shingles for the roof at the United Methodist Community House (Grand Rapids) for $5. each. There will also be a used book exchange.
September 21 -- Grand Rapids District Annual UMW Celebration will be at the Muskegon Central UMC, in Muskegon. (Directions)

Keynote speaker is Diane Wright-Stubbs, Director of Ministries --M.A.P. (Mission Area People, Temple UMC, Muskegon Heights).

September 25 -- Heartland District Annual UMW Celebration will be at the Carson City UMC, Carson City. (Directions)
Registration is $8.00. Registrar is Patsy Coffman, 989-224-7692 or Patsymcoffman@gmail.com.
Keynote speakers include: Mike Dekker, Founder of GLC Hope Ministries in Carson City. This is a place for men to get a new start when down and out. The 2nd speaker is Terrie Eisenmann, who will be telling about being in Haiti during the devastating earthquake in Jan. '10.
The in-gathering will be personal items for seniors at United Methodist Community House. There will also be a used book exchange.
October 2 -- Grand Traverse District Annual UMW Celebration will be at the Petoskey UMC (Directions)
Registration cost is $8. Regisrar is Gaye Alexander, 231-347-7483.
Keynote speaker is Ruby Anderson, the Detroit Conference UMW Ambassador to Sudan.
The in-gathering will be "buying" shingles for the roof at the United Methodist Community House (Grand Rapids) for $5. each.
