Greg Lawton is the Coordinator of the West Michigan YouthWorker Movement (formerly Forum for Adults in Youth Ministry) This group meets regularly for support, fellowship and resourcing and hosts a fall retreat for adults in youth ministry.

Forum for Adults in Youth Ministry Retreat
The Forum of Adults in Youth Ministry (FAYM) met for our annual retreat Oct. at Wesley Woods. This year's theme was "Wesleyan Model for Youth Ministry" led by Terry Carty, General Board of Discipleship and coordinator of the "Youthworker Movement." 30 youth workers from all over West Michigan met to fellowship, network, and learn about best practices in United Methodist youth ministry.
Heather Ooysti of Grand Rapids First UMC summed the retreat up best: "I didn't even know I needed this weekend, but I did." If you are interested in becoming a part of FAYM, please email Greg Lawton.
